Brenda is a professional Medical Reiki ™ Master, Reiki Master Teacher, Registered Practitioner and Registered Animal Reiki Practitioner.
Her interest in healthcare, helping others, and journey toward holistic wellness unknowingly began years ago when originally sparked by her Administrative career in the professional hospital environments, within the Administration, Admitting, Community/Media/Public Relations, Emergency, Foundation and Medical & Surgical Departments, of then known as
Humber Memorial Hospital and Etobicoke General Hospital.
Brenda worked with Chakras and other energy modalities for several years in search of her own holistic wellness, leading her to the introduction to Reiki. Finding Reiki to be her personal wellness modality, calling and passion, she pursued and completed her First , Second, and Third Degree Reiki Master Levels in the Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Method , passionately embracing, sharing, and now teaching Reiki to others. In her capacity as Medical Reiki ™ Master, she owns and operates Starbound YoUniverse, her private Reiki Studio, where 'Reiki Masters her' in channeling Reiki treatments and providing Reiki training classes for clients and other holistic service providers.
Brenda additionally trained with internationally renowned
Medical Reiki ™ Master Founder and Teacher Raven Keyes , Author of "The Healing Power of Reiki" and "The Healing Light of Angels", to become a Certified Medical Reiki ™ Master, enabling her to provide Reiki in various medical and medically supervised settings such as the operating room, subsequently becoming a member of the Raven Keyes International Medical Reiki ™ Master Team, "Medical Reiki ™ With Raven".
Brenda is not "medically" trained and provides Reiki services only. Therefore, she does not diagnose, prescribe, heal or cure, although these are often byproducts of Reiki treatment. Reiki is meant to balance, nurture and support the body, mind, spirit and emotions as an energetic whole, and is not intended, nor meant, to replace or delay medical care and/or the direct supervision of your doctor, nurse practitioner, and/or medical team.
Brenda channels Reiki within medical/surgical settings to support and aid clients in withstanding chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and other medical treatments and procedures.
